Description : The Centre now offers one of South Africa’s most comprehensive and well-equipped conference facilities developed specifically for the NGO sector. There is a total of 700 sq/m of conference space, which can be arranged into different room combinations to meet your conference and training requirements. The Centre’s conference facilities offer: central location for public transport, secure off-street parking with direct bridge access to conference facilities, breakaway rooms, registration areas on each level, excellent acoustics with a PA Sound System, 30sq/m of adjustable stage area, 30sq/m of adjustable dance or performance floor area, All conference rooms well ventilated and air conditioned. Refreshment stations on each floor, which also sell light meals. Internet and telephone facilities, digital and AV media equipment. Ample toilet facilities, wheel chair access to level 1 conference area. Office accommodation for conference organisers. Our conference rooms include: East & North Wing: DENIS HURLEY HALL 200sq/m - Large conferences for approximately 150 delegates. "THE WELL" 55sq/m - Small workshops, breakaway meetings and worship services for approximately 30 participants in upholstered armchairs and conference tables. ARCHIE`S - The Archie Gumede Café 25sq/m - Private meeting room for 15 people in the café. Fully equipped with digital media facilities for a working breakfast or lunch meeting. East Wing - ELA GANDHI ROOM 25sq/m - Ideal for board meetings, seminars, special hearings and review meetings. Seats 15 people in comfortable upholstered chairs at a boardroom table. MIRRIAM CELE ROOM 90sq/m - Suitable for large workshops or small conferences of approximately 60 delegates. East Wing: PHILIP RUSSELL ROOM 90sq/m - Suitable for large workshops or small conferences of approximately 60 delegates. The basic equipment in each room includes: - wall mounted "silent-ring" telephone, LAN Connection, Overhead projector, 2.4m Electric AV screen, Flipchart easel, White Boards, Lectern (free standing or table top). Additional equipment includes: - PA Systems - JBL powered speakers with a sprite professional mixer, Shure dynamic microphones and a Sennheisser wireless microphone, movable white board and pinning boards, 72cm video monitor on AV trolley, 106cm XGA Data & Video Plasma Displays, Data/Video Projector 1600 Lumen XGA (3cm image), VHS/DVD/CD/Mpeg Players.
