Shell Midden
Thought to have an Arabic or bushman heritage. The Shell Midden is a fragile and precious asset proving that the black iron workers occupied the region. Appears to have been a popular meeting place where brown mussels were eaten and shells discarded. Evidence of pottery has been found. Umhlanga Rocks.
Zulu Hunting Camp
During the time of the Zulu King Shaka, a hunting camp operated here, with elephants as the main focus of the hunt. Berea Park, Durban.
