Cato Manor Hindu Temple

A well known group of three Hindu temples, one of wood and iron, one of brick with a veranda, and a union period building.
588 Bellaire Road, Cato Manor.

Durban Hindu Temple

The building was constructed in 1901 to serve mainly Hindi speaking labourers.

Ganesa Temple

This is a small Hindu temple with antarala and dome over cella , all of the Victorian period.

Isipingo Rail Hindu Marriaman Temple

This temple is said to be built over the home of a sacred cobra. Gods represented in the temple include Marriaman, Ganesha, Kali and Krishna.

Narainsamy Temple

The temple was built between 1906 and 1908, this is considered to be Kistapa Reddy's greatest achievement. It is a largely South Indian style building. It is a national monument.

Originally erected in 1875, it was the first public Hindu temple on the African continent. It is a national monument.

Shree Angalaman Temple

A significant union period Hindu temple, with veranda to three sides of a hall.

Shree Gengaiammen Temple

A small wood and iron temple of importance for the sacred ant hill which it contains.

Shree Muruga Kadaval Temple

An important religious and cultural group of three temple buildings of the union period. Done in different local translations of Indian temple style.

A significant Hindu temple of the union period in Dravidian style with many significant details such as kodi poles, sculpture and image cells.
