ChurchApostolic Faith Mission ChurchThe apostolic faith mission church in Grey Street is
a national monument. Bellaire Congregational ChurchThis is a gothic revival church of the Victorian
period. Christ The King Lutheran ChurchBecause of its elevated position, this church can be seen
from many parts of Southern
Durban. Congregational ChurchThis church is a prominent Edwardian central city
church designed in a free
interpretation of the gothic revival style. Dutch Reformed ChurchThe Old Dutch reformed church is from the union
period, of Cape Dutch revival style. It is
a national monument. EbuhleniShembe's citadel, overlooking the Inanda dam, is a communal establishment that sheltered the landless and disinherited during the apartheid years and is renowned as a model of black self-advancement, with a vigorous crafts-based work ethnic. Shembe ceremonies, where adherents are baptised and healed, display a great richness of Nazarite attire, ritual and symbolism. The Shembe community welcomes outsiders to attend their festivals. monument. Original St Mary's ChurchThis building is a Victorian church with porch and side
pavilions. Originally in
polychromous free style but now plastered and painted. Our Lady Of Vilankanni ChurchThis is a Catholic Church building. St Anthony's ChurchBuilt in the 1930s to accommodate the growing Indian-
catholic population of Durban, The
design is an impressive example of the revived Spanish
baroque style. St James ChurchIt is a Victorian gothic revival church with
plastered tower side chapel and transepts,
with notable details such as exposed timber ceiling, pulpit
and lych-gate. St John's ChurchThis is a significant union period church in brick
and tile with attached tower , side porch
and basilican form. There are Romanesque revival
characteristics. St Louis's Roman Catholic ChurchThis Catholic Church is a national monument. St Paul's ChurchOriginally built in 1853, this is the oldest church
in Durban. Within it are memorial tablets
recording some of the city's early settlers. St. John's Catholic ChurchBuilt 25 years ago, it was the first Catholic Church in
Chatsworth. Trinity Congregational ChurchThis is a union period, gothic revival church with entrance
